On Father’s Day

Growing up, my father was constantly away for work. At an early age I never really understood how it must have felt like to be away from the family. I remember having awesome family days with him whenever he came home. We would open lots of presents, boxes of chocolates and we would go to amusement parks and have a wonderful time. We went to church on Sundays, had karaoke nights and lots and lots of time together at home. Then after a month or two, we say our goodbyes and wait for another few months to see him again.

When I was a kid, it never really occurred to me that it is extremely difficult to be away from the family until I left and worked abroad myself. My father is the strongest man I know. He taught me what sacrifice and unconditional love really mean without saying a word and for that, He is my hero.

Today On Father’s Day, all I can think of is how incredibly lucky we are to have a Father who is giving, selfless and supportive. I am grateful for everything. No words can express how much I love this man with all my heart. I have the sweetest, funniest, strongest and most loving Papa in the world! ❤️
